PhenoTyper basic cage
Description
The PhenoTyper basic cage contains, besides the PhenoTyper topunit, four blank walls (with ventilation) for conducting open field tests or recording locomotor activity. An animal can be placed in the PhenoTyper basic cage for a short period of time. The animal’s locomotor activity and explorative behaviors (e.g. stretch attend postures, latency to visit the center zone) are recorded on a continous basis and analyzed with EthoVision XT’s video tracking technology.
Alternatively, more than one animal can be placed inside the PhenoTyper basic cage to assess social behaviors with The Observer XT.
