Noldus is excited to be exhibiting at the European Congress of Psychology (ECP) in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on 11-14 July. This 15th ECP is a joint effort between the Netherlands Institute of Psychologists (NIP) and the Belgian Federation of Psychologists (BFP). Make sure to attend, since it promises to be a fantastic, scientific interesting and well-organized conference in Amsterdam.
Let me give you 6 reasons to persuade you to visit this congress.
1. It all happens in Amsterdam
The capital of The Netherlands is alive 24/7, you’ll never get bored here, and everything is possible. You can make a boat trip through the historic canals, visit the Rijksmuseum and take a look at the ‘Nachtwacht’, go shopping at the ‘Kalverstraat’, or take a walk through the ‘Vondelpark’.
The venue, the RAI, is only 8 minutes away by public transport, although cycling is the way to go for a real taste of Amsterdam life.
2. The chance to expand your network
It is expected that about 1,200 qualified psychologists and industry professionals will be joining the conference. An ideal chance to meet face-to-face with your colleagues from all over the world and discuss your research or work related questions and challenges.
3. Our software in action
As one of the exhibitors, Noldus will show you live the features and benefits of our user-friendly software suite Viso: for audio and video recording, debriefing and playback. Find out how Viso, or one of our other solutions, such as The Observer XT and FaceReader, will fit into your psychological research study, whether it is developmental psychology, parent-child interaction, clinical psychology, emotion research, interview studies, or any other area.
View sessions live to assess student performance by marking events of interest during recording with Viso.
4. Versatile congress themes
Within the main theme of psychology addressing society’s greatest challenges, the Scientific Committee has chosen five thematic tracks:
- Life changing events; migration, integration, adaptation
- Organizing effective psychological interventions
- Strengthening society’s resilience; prevention and early intervention
- Promoting excellence and stimulating labor market participation
- Technological scientific topics; technology and changing behavior
Select a session to go to which is out of your scope of research and be inspired. Hearing something that is different from your area of interest might give you just the ideas or the inspiration you need.
5. The Amsterdam Experience: a perfect night of leisure
On Thursday 13 July 2017 the ECP will host a special Amsterdam Experience Evening. Step on board of the Ocean Diva and be entertained with great music, and food. Register in time, there are only 500 tickets available.
6. Extensive poster sessions
Psychologists from all over the world present their research through their poster. The author explains what the research, or the work in progress, is about and answers your questions. Consider in advance which posters you want to review, because the choice is enormous.
