Noldus Information Technology develops professional software and instrumentation for observational and behavioral research for  20 years now. Our products enable the collection, analysis, management and presentation of behavioral, physiological and acoustical data. Scientists, engineers and practitioners use our products to study behavioral processes, automate measurements, improve the quality of their data, increase productivity, and make optimal use of human or animal resources. Applications are in biology, psychology, pharmacology, ergonomics and human factors. Universities, research institutes and companies in more than 75 countries use our systems. Noldus Information Technology operates from our head office in The Netherlands and branch offices across Europe, China, and the United States. We currently employ more than 100 people.

The job
As a product manager you set the marketing strategy for a portfolio of software products and integrated solutions for animal behavior research. You set the course for R&D and support the sales force with your expertise. You convince your colleagues and the world with a broad and clear vision of the market and your portfolio. You are always searching for ways to strengthen existing product-market combinations. Besides that you identify opportunities for new business. You enjoy networking with partners and customers.

Tasks

  • Initiate and execute market research and competition analysis
  • Make operational and strategic plans for product and market development
  • Make introduction plans for product releases
  • Support account managers worldwide
  • Initiate and define new products and solutions for behavioral research


Your profile

  • Academic education (BSc or MSc) in a relevant field (marketing, (medical) biology, veterinary sciences, informatics, electrotechnics)
  • 2 years marketing experience or more, preferably in product management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Creative and innovative personality
  • Fluent in English, willing to learn Dutch
  • Knowledge of behavioral research methods is desired, but not required
