Noldus Information Technology develops professional software and instrumentation for observational and behavioral research. We have been doing this  for over 20 years now. Our products enable the collection, analysis, management and presentation of behavioral, physiological and acoustical data. Scientists, engineers and practitioners use our products to study behavioral processes, automate measurements, improve the quality of their data, increase productivity and make optimal use of human or animal resources. Applications are in psychology, usability, ergonomics, human factors, biology and pharmacology. Universities, research institutes and companies in more than 75 countries use our systems. Noldus Information Technology operates from its head office in The Netherlands and branch offices in China, across Europe and the United States. We currently employ more than 100 people.


The job
We have a challenging career opportunity for an Account Manager Human Behavior (psychology, usability, consumer sciences, ergonomics) in Wageningen, The Netherlands. You will be responsible for the direct sales of our unique solutions and products for behavioral research in a number of countries. This position requires an understanding of the study of human behavior in the research fields mentioned above as well a strong commercial drive. The solutions you sell may vary from a standard software license to completely integrated acquisition and analysis systems. Applications are various: research in behavioral development and trouble, doctor-patient interaction, usability testing of software user interfaces, testing of consumer products, research in human-machine interaction, task analysis, physical load, work area research, communication and education etc. You will find your customers in the academic world as well as in commercial companies.

 

Tasks

  • As an account manager you will advise new and existing clients on the best solution for their behavioral research set-up
  • You are responsible for the entire sales process; from visit to proposal, to follow up and closure. After the sale you will be in contact with your customers on a regular basis
  • You will actively approach new prospects in your market area by calling and visiting them
  • You will give product demonstrations to international clients and represent Noldus at national and international conference exhibitions
  • After a thorough training period you will be able to give product trainings to customers
  • You will be travelling to visit customers at least one week per month

 

We ask

  • A higher or academic education in a relevant field
  • 2 year experience in sales
  • Strong commercial drive
  • Initiative
  • Affinity with behavioral research
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Sense of humor
  • Good  knowledge of the English language and basic to good knowledge of the Italian language
  • Drivers license B
  • Willingness to travel abroad frequently (you will travel approximately 1 week per month)
  • Good knowledge of modern computer and video techniques
