Elevated plus maze
The plus maze is elevated and comes in two versions: with and without Near Infrared (NIR) backlight. Infrared backlight has the advantage of being invisible to the animals along with providing superior contrast for highly accurate tracking with EthoVision® XT. The mazes are constructed of black polypropylene walls. The NIR backlit maze has an acrylic diffuser panel for runway surfaces, and a camera bracket made of extruded aluminum.
