FaceReader 4 - Automatic facial expression analysis and emotion detection

FaceReader™ 4 is the most robust software tool for analysis of the 6 basic facial expressions: happy, sad, scared, disgusted, suprised, and angry. In addition, the software tracks the head orientation, enabling tracking of 3D orientation of the head, classifies mouth open-closed, eyes open-shut, and eyebrows raised-neutral-lowered. How does it work? Revolutionary 3D modeling
FaceReader works in three steps: face finding, face modeling & face classification. Step 2 has been significantly improved by introducing 3D modeling of the face. FaceReader now analyzes 491 keypoints in the face instead of 55 key points! As a result, FaceReader 4 can accurately analyze facial expressions even if the test participant is not looking directly into the camera.

How does it work? Interface between programs
Exclusively for FaceReader 4, an Application Programming Interface (API) has
been developed. It serves as an interface between different software programs and facilitates their interaction, even if the program runs on another computer in the network. The API allows other software programs to respond instantly to the emotional state of a participant. Configure an experiment any way you want. For example, in gaming research - when a test participant shows severe anger, a cooling down session in a game level starts automatically. Or, in market research, is your test participant smiling? By using the API, a questionnaire will be activated automatically. Then show the entire range of advertisements and keep measuring emotions.

How fast is it? Quick analysis

If you plan on analyzing multiple videos, FaceReader 4 allows you to analyze them in one group. You can easily select the videos you want to analyze and create a list for FaceReader. With this new feature in place, you don’t have to select them one by one, which saves you a lot of time. The software does the work for you!
