Measuring user Experience through Keyboard and Mouse

Introduction

Noldus Information Technology has developed a program, called uLog, that can record all  keyboard and mouse activities on Windows computers. The data that is generated is used for usability evaluations.
uLog can generate a substantial amount of data, which can result time consuming analysis. To make the analysis faster and more usable new and innovative algorithms for converting uLog data into meaningful behaviors have been developed.

Assignment

We need to have our algorithms validated in a series of validation experiments. This encompasses:

  • Design of one or more experiments (usability tests) in which the behaviors can be verified.
  • Recruitment of participants for these test.
  • Carrying out of usability tests.
  • Reporting on the accuracy of our algorithms and make suggestions for improvement.

For the experiments you can use our fully equipped usability testing facilities.

Your background

We are looking for students who have a good knowledge of Human-Computer Interaction and the skills to carry out usability tests.
