Neuroscience 2009 satellite symposium

Researchers keen on innovative products
The high number of visitors to the Noldus booth showed that neuroscientists are always keen to learn all about new and innovative solutions for animal behavior research. Noldus show their latest products, including EthoVision XT 7.0 and CatWalk XT 8.1, and product were very well received.

Satellite symposium completely booked through preregistration
Noldus has been presenting its products at the annual meeting of the Society for Neuroscience for 17 years now, and this was the fifth time in a row that they also hosted a satellite symposium. And again, with great success. Measuring Social Behavior: Scientific Challenges, test Paradigms and Tools was completely booked through preregistration. Even during the conference, people tried to get a seat.

The symposium brought together some of the pioneers in social behavior research, that presentated and discussed topics concerning two major themes. First, the highly detailed behavioral assessment versus high throughput behavioral assessment. The second concerned the variability of test paradigms and how they can affect behavior.
