CHI conference again a great success for Noldus

As the leading developer of software tools and integrated solutions for user experience research and usability testing, Noldus was of course present at CHI 2006, the main event in human computer interaction. The CHI conference took place in Montréal this year, one of the technological centers of North America. Many experts in the field found their way to our impressive booth in the exhibition area to learn more about our latest products and services.
Under the motto 'click-enter-log' we introduced uLog, a completely new software tool for analyzing user-computer behavior. Our new event tracker automatically logs a wide range of activities, including keystrokes, mouse clicks, and other user actions. uLog is completely compatible with our flagship event coding software: The Observer XT. The latest update of this innovative system for collection and analysis of observational data was also on display. It now contains many features customers have been asking for, including integration of multiple video streams and event logs with physiological and eye-tracking data. Also, we demonstrated a novel tool for facial expression analysis, which was taken in with great interest by the visitors.
On the third day of the conference, Lucas Noldus and Tobias Heffelaar presented the full-day training course “From usability testing to user experience: Tools for data collection and analysis”, which was visited by more than 65 participants. The course was an intensive training in video technology, software tools and integrated solutions for field and lab studies. Participants were brought up to date with the latest proven techniques and tools for data collection and analysis. Lucas Noldus: "We enjoyed teaching and discussing data collection and analysis methods with such a varied audience. The 65 participants came from 15 different countries and brought in experiences from both academic and corporate settings. The course was received very well, and we went home with several new ideas for the next edition."
In sum, CHI 2006 was an inspiring event, for many professionals in the area of HCI research who visited us, as well as for Noldus, with an unequalled response and positive feedback.
