Santiago de Chile, Republic of Chile - Last week, trainers and engineers from Noldus travelled to Chile to install an extensive multi-modal stationary lab at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in Santiago de Chile.

After they found their way through the local metro network to the university,  they could start with the installation. The lab is situated in the modern building of innovations located at the entrance of the university campus. The lab is intended as a lab where researchers perform classroom observations. Furthermore, it will be used by multiple disciplines within the university.

Lab for classroom research

Next to products such as The Observer XT, Media Recorder, and FaceReader, the lab also includes a LED tiled ceiling allowing for warm or cold lighting conditions. A large smartboard can be captured using Media Recorder that includes screen capture technology.

Human behavior research made easy

In the ceiling, the engineers integrated a two zone audio system with which the experiment leader can play two sound sources at the same time. By using a wireless data logger system temperature/humidity and light conditions can also be measured during the experiment. To complete the installation, the engineers also installed our brand new position measurement solution: TrackLab.

Santiago de Chile

Santiago is a very beautiful city with very friendly people. The city is surrounded by the Andes mountains, which gives it a very picturesque overview. Looking at this view was the perfect way to end this successful on-site installation!
