Noldus signs collaboration agreement with Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences

Beijing, China – Noldus Information Technology today announced that it has signed a collaboration agreement with the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Per this agreement, the partners will establish a Joint Laboratory of Animal Behavior within the Institute of Zoology to support research and education using the latest software and hardware tools for the study of animal behavior. Other activities under the agreement include the organization of training courses in animal behavior research methods and tools, technical seminars and user meetings. 

Prof. Le Kang, Director of the State Key Laboratory of Integrated Pest Management and President of the Beijing Institutes of Life Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, commented on the agreement: “We are looking forward to a strong relationship with Noldus Information Technology. This agreement will give us access to the latest research tools, with technical support within easy reach. We will gladly support the dissemination of novel methods and tools among the animal behavior research community in China.”

The mutual collaboration will be carried out in association with the Laboratory of Entomology, Wageningen University, Wageningen, The Netherlands. Prof. Marcel Dicke, head of the laboratory, and Prof. Joop van Loon, who holds an adjunct chair at the Institute of Zoology, will be involved in collaborative research and knowledge transfer.
