AMIDA (Augmented Multi-party Interaction with Distant Access)
The AMIDA consortium is a multi-disciplinary community of research partners and associated organizations united by a common vision: “Business productivity, by way of individual and group activities between and during meetings, can be dramatically enhanced with the use of advanced signal processing and knowledge management”. The consortium is dedicated to the development of technologies that will enhance multiparty interaction. Noldus has joined this consortium since April 2009.
Noldus' main work in AMIDA will include connecting AMIDA technologies as prototype plug-in software components to The Observer XT, software package for the collection and analysis of behavioral data, as well as practical testing of AMIDA technologies in new application domains.
These AMIDA technologies will find their way to the worldwide user community of The Observer XT:
- Speaker identification
- Speech recognition and disfluency correction
- Gesture recognition
- Comic strip presentation
