Event Logging Interface | |
If you are using The Observer or EthoVision, you may wish to automatically record more information than you currently can. The solution to this problem is to replace yourself as the coder, partially or completely, by using the Event Logging Interface (ELI). Any behavior that you wish to record and that can be automatically sensed, can now be coded live using the ELI. And this without any extra effort! The ELI is easy to setup, flexible, low cost and can be used from both laptops and desktops. The ELI acts as a keyboard, making (automatic) key presses whenever signals are received or switches operated (from Passive Infrared (PIR) detectors, operant levers, beam break detectors, foot switches, and many more). Each unit has 8 input channels, each of which may be independently set to record events (occurrence only) or states (on/off). Up to 3 units may be attached in series, allowing 24 separate channels to be recorded at the same time. Configurations are designed in EthoVision or The Observer in the same way as normal.
