During the acquisition you receive direct visual feedback on the effect of your filter settings. Number of vocalizations, total duration, mean duration and other defined descriptive statistics are displayed online. The program also displays the elapsed and remaining time in the Timing group box and the Channel Status pane. By default, UltraVox retrieves the acquisition settings of the previous acquisition run, i.e. the Filter, Channel and Timing settings. If you want to use settings from another acquisition run, you have to open this run first. Opening a file automatically loads the acquisition settings corresponding with this file. Follow these steps:

• Select File - Open and open a saved data file.
• Start a new acquisition with the filter settings of the opened project by selecting File - New and Acquisition - Start.
• Save it under a new name with File - Save when the acquisition is finished.
