New update of The Observer 5.0
Wageningen, 24 February 2005 - Noldus Information Technology today announced the release of The Observer 5.0.31, an update of its flagship product for collection and analysis of observational data.
New features in version 5.0.31 In this new release, we have added a number of features, such as: New and improved demo-projects that help you to get started creating your own projects. The collection of The Observer Quick Start Guides has been extended with versions in Chinese and German. Italian, Dutch and English versions were already available. A new Technical Note explains more about the use of DVDs in The Observer.
Support of new handheld devices in The Observer Mobile The Observer Mobile with Pocket Observer supports a wide range of new handheld devices for mobile observations. These are the new models that we support:

For use under less conditioned circumstances, most models are available with a rugged case. Rugged PDAs such as the Panasonic Toughbook 01 and the new Psion Teklogix Workabout Pro are very suitable for even more extreme conditions. Rated at IP54, the Workabout Pro is protected against dust and water sprayed from all directions.
In addition, this unit can withstand multiple 1 meter drops to concrete. It is the successor of the Psion Workabout MX, which has been utilized by many Observer users for many years already. The 1⁄4 VGA touch screen display makes the new Workabout Pro easier to use than its predecessor. Finally a number of known bugs have been fixed in The Observer as well as in Pocket Observer.
