Noldus Information Technology operates from our head office in The Netherlands and branch offices across Europe and the United States. We currently employ approx. 85 people.
The Job 

Noldus is currently looking for an Applications Specialist to join our growing North American Sales Office. As a member of our technical team, you will work closely with our Sales, Marketing, and Technical Support staff to assist clients and provide technical related service with our products. The client groups that you will support are involved in various research disciplines ranging from psychology, neuroscience, usability, and zoology studies to mention a few. In this role, you will support the Noldus suite of fielded products and integrated solutions, and will identify customer’s technical requirements in association with the software and hardware solutions we provide. Additionally, you will provide both on and off site pre and post sales technical support on the integrated hardware and software solutions we provide. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide technical support and product troubleshooting for the suite of Noldus solutions and integrated systems.
  • Perform equipment installation, configuration, and testing at customer sites (availability to frequently travel to customer sites is required.)
  • Provide onsite and online product training sessions.
  • Interfacing with the in-house staff on support and sales related matters.
  • Keeping track of market trends in technology as they pertain to our complete integrated solutions.
Your Profile

To qualify for this position, you must have/be:

  • BS degree and/or related experience in technical field (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related IT degrees).
  • Technical experience (knowledge of PC hardware, Windows, and application software) and experience with video and audio equipment are assets.
  • Some experience in Observational Research is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and “hands-on” approach.
  • Programming knowledge, especially in C++, is preferred.
  • Understanding of networks and protocols.
  • Familiar with Windows and Microsoft suite.
  • Ability to create installation diagrams.
  • Ability and willingness to learn about the functionality of our products in a brief period, as well as be able to familiarize and identify with the problems of the end-user.

Enthusiasm, motivation, initiative, excellent communications skills, and willingness to travel throughout the United States and Canada are necessary. Prior applications experience is helpful, but qualified entry level/new grads will be considered.
