Noldus Information Technology, world’s leading supplier of systems for behavioral research, is highly regarded by thousands of researchers and scientists worldwide. Noldus’ premier video tracking system, EthoVision XT, is used for different types of behavioral studies, such as locomotor activity tests in an open field and water maze tests. Video tracking systems allow for high accuracy, high throughput, and reproducibility of data. These factors make EthoVision XT beneficial for any researcher that wants to determine behavioral outcome of animal models. At ToxExpo2007 (25-28 March), Noldus will introduce a new EthoVision XT module, the GLP module. Now GLP compliant environments can also benefit from EthoVision XT’s outstanding technology.
EthoVision XT’s GLP module helps you reach compliance in meeting 21 CFR Part 11 requirements. Your experiments are safeguarded, settings and changes during data acquisition logged, and experiment results retrievable. User management rights guarantee that only authorized persons are able to start the program and perform assigned tasks. In the application log the usage of EthoVision XT by these authorized users is registered; it lists the date and time of starting and stopping of the EthoVision XT program and creation, starting, and stopping of an experiment. The audit trail (experiment log) is created for each experiment and gives a comprehensive insight in the way the experiment has been performed. All settings belonging to this experiment, as well as date and time of starting, stopping, and duration of a trial are logged. To keep your experiments safe and retrievable, several settings cannot be changed as soon as the first data has been acquired. Logs are non-editable and users are allowed to add comments at any time.
EthoVision XT with GLP module comes with on-site installation and training. An Installation Quality (IQ) document is provided, which describes the components of the system and how they are connected together. In addition, the Operation Quality (OQ) document describes the methods employed to validate the system, demonstrating that what is supposed to be measured by the system is indeed what is actually being measured. To learn how your research can benefit from EthoVision XT’s GLP module, please visit the EthoVision XT web page, or visit us in booth # 442 at ToxExpo 2007 (25-28 March) in Charlotte, North Carolina.
