EthoVision XT offers a range of statistics that can be displayed in both graphs and tables. These tables are often used for exporting data to specific statistical programs such as Excel.
In EthoVision XT 14, you can customize the layout of the statistics table. This is very practical, because it allows you to import data to statistical software that requires a different layout. Additionally, adjusting the layout can allow for more intuitive data interpretation.
With the new release, EthoVision XT now supports USB and IP cameras. This is suitable for experiments that do not require much processing power. One IP camera or up to four USB cameras can be used.
Please notice that in combination with these types of cameras, frames can be lost due to the nature of these cameras. However, EthoVision XT will automatically interpolate the data for these missed frames.
In addition, EthoVision XT now supports multi-port boards for up to four GigE cameras and boards for up to four USB3 cameras.
Duration of state parameters
With EthoVision XT 14, you can now analyze the minimum and maximum duration of state parameters. For example, you can analyze how long an animal maximally spends in a specific zone, such as the feeding area, without interruption.
Copy-pasting in trial control and data selection
In the EthoVision XT software, you can set up trial control (or trial and hardware control) with blocks like those shown in the image. Data selection works in the same way. These blocks can now be copy-pasted, which makes it much easier (and less error-prone!) to set up your protocols.
