5 reasons to attend IMSH 2023, a.k.a. the medsim conference

The Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) organizes the International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare (IMSH), which is the world’s largest scientific conference that explores the latest innovations and best practices in healthcare simulation. IMSH provides the tools and resources healthcare professionals need to advance their skills, impact change in delivery systems and practice, and, ultimately improve patient safety.

Here are five reasons why you should attend!

1.    A program you don’t want to miss

During this year’s IMSH conference, everything revolves around “A standard of Excellence” with a content rich, multidisciplinary program for everyone working in healthcare simulation. The program includes hands-on workshops, exciting speakers, nearly 300 educational sessions, poster presentations, and an exhibit hall full of the latest products and services.

Besides, ‘IMSH Delivers’ enables virtual attendees to join the event from a distance. It will consist of educational content live-streamed from the in-person event and prerecorded sessions.

2.    Networking with the other 4,000+ attendees

Expected attendees from 62 countries include physicians, nurses, dentists, paramedics, physical therapists, educators, and researchers. Join your colleagues from SIM centers, hospitals, colleges, and universities who cover all levels of expertise around the globe to help power the future in healthcare through simulation.

Attendees of IMSH 2020 (in-person event) indicated that networking and educational content were the most valuable components of the conference.

3.    The Expo Hall is a tribute to the power of simulation

Spot next generation tools and solutions, and even learn how to run a simulation center! Many exhibitors have hands-on demonstrations so that you can experience what’s new on a first-hand basis. In the Expo Hall, you’ll find all you need to know about mannequins and computer-based simulation, AV tools, VR, AR, task trainers, learning management systems, digital applications and games, IT solutions, and so much more.

Visit us at booth #442 to say hi and to discuss how you can benefit from our tools and services to advance your simulation trainings.

4.    An awesome location

Orlando, Florida, USA, is the county seat of Orange County: a real tourist attraction and known as one of the largest fun cities in the world. IMSH 2023 takes place at the Orange County Convention Center, the second largest convention facility in the United States. It is in the heart of the area’s tourism district surrounded by excellent dining, shopping, and entertainment.

You will find a diverse selection of restaurants and an endless array of exciting after-hour entertainment across the convention center district to please every taste.

It might be worth considering combining your visit to the congress with a trip to Walt Disney World! The distance between Orange County and Disneyland is less than 10 miles. A super cool idea, that you can even meet Mickey Mouse or Cinderella during your trip to Orlando.

5.    IMSH Scheduler

In order to keep track of what is going on during the conference, the onsite program guide is also available online! You can schedule your sessions using the IMSH Scheduler: a comprehensive online guide and scheduling tool for all of the content available to you for both in-person and virtual content.

You can even schedule your SimFit23 Fun Run or Walk (5K) on Sunday, January 22.

We look forward meeting you!

Please visit IMSH and take the opportunity to network, meet old friends and colleagues, exchange knowledge, and to say hi to our representatives in booth #442! The conference will take place from January 21-25, 2023. We look forward to seeing you there!
