What's new in CatWalk XT 10.7
With CatWalk XT 10.7 we are not only introducing some great quality of life changes to the software, we are also preparing our gait analysis system for the future.
Elevating gait analysis with CatWalk XT
CatWalk XT is already the premier gait analysis system used by researchers around the world and published in the highest impact papers. With CatWalk XT 10.7, and its important new features, you will have an even more robust and powerful system The best part, this update is totally free for anyone with an active NoldusCare subscription of CatWalk XT or an active CatWalk XT 10 license.
Preparing for the future
This new version of CatWalk XT enables you to access your CatWalk XT license without the use of a dongle. With the digital license there is no more need for a physical dongle you can lose or damage, giving you reliable access to your software.
Furthermore, by updating CatWalk XT we have converted the software from 32 to 64 bit. This has the immediate effect of having more memory available for running CatWalk XT. This allows you to record longer videos. This is especially beneficial for researchers conducting studies with severely impaired rodents since they can take a very long time to complete a run.
Quality of life improvements
Many people around the world have trouble distinguishing color in their everyday life. Therefore, we have changed the color-schemes within CatWalk XT to better suit those who have color blindness. This means that the accessibility of CatWalk XT is greatly increased, and the chance of misinterpretation decreased.
Certain colors or color schemes made it difficult to inspect a run in the run visualization module. In order to make inspection easier with any chosen color scheme we have added a black outline to the bars. This will decrease potential errors that can be made during inspection missing frames.
Revised phase dispersions and coupling
CatWalk XT has the ability to analyze the phase dispersions and coupling of two different paws. In this new version of CatWalk XT we have greatly improved the way these parameters are presented, to improve the comprehensibility and decrease interpretation errors by the user.
These parameters are now visualized in circular graphs to reflect the circular statistics that underly these parameters. Furthermore, we now give both the angular deviation and standard deviation of your circular data.
