Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile

Multi-modal lab

Recently, an extensive multi-modal stationary lab has been installed at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in Santiago de Chile. The lab is situated in the very modern building of innovations located at the entrance of the university campus. The lab is designed to study classroom observations in great detail. It will be used by multiple disciplines within the university.

Next to products such as The Observer XT, MediaRecorder, and FaceReader, the lab also includes a LED tiled ceiling allowing for warm or cold lighting conditions. A large smartboard can be captured using Media Recorder that includes screen capture technology. In this lab, TrackLab will be used as position measurement solution.

In the ceiling, Noldus engineers integrated a two zone audio system with which the experiment leader can play two sound sources at the same time. By using a wireless data logger system temperature/humidity and light conditions can also be measured during the experiment.
