5th European Zebrafish Principal Investigator Meeting 2018

If you’re into research with zebrafish, you’ll definitely want to be in Trento in March! Meet us at the 5th European Zebrafish Principal Investigator Meeting, 20-23 March 2018, in Trento, Italy!

A few of the solutions Noldus has to offer:

Zebrafish larvae activity monitoring

Monitor the activity of zebrafish larvae in multi-well plates using DanioVision, a complete system designed for the high throughput tracking of zebrafish larvae (Danio rerio). This system is powered by EthoVision XT, the most widely applied video tracking software, which automatically calculates parameters such as mean velocity, time spent immobile, swimming distance, or number of rotations.

Embryonic contractions and larvae heartbeat analysis

Studies on new drugs are often discontinued due to negative side effects of those drugs on the heart. Cardiovascular defects and cardiotoxic effects of compounds can be easily measured in zebrafish larvae. With the EthoVision XT Heartbeat Detector this now becomes very easy and can be done without fluorescent labeling technologies. EthoVision XT can also be used to analyze the coiling contractions of zebrafish embryos, for instance after exposure to environmental contaminants.

Neurobehavioral test set-ups for zebrafish

Automate neurobehavioral tests on zebrafish using EthoVision XT and our dedicated test set-ups. Whether you want to study learning and memory in a T-maze, study stress and anxiety in a novel tank diving test, are interested in social behavior or shoaling behavior, or are interested in the swimming pattern of zebrafish in 3D – with our dedicated test set-ups you can fully automate these studies.
