Wageningen, 5 June 2014 – Noldus Information Technology BV continuously strives to improve the services for its customers in all countries where we have a presence. Because of our growing customer base in China, we have established a wholly-owned subsidiary in 2011. Our Beijing office currently has 8 highly qualified staff members, and we plan to open a branch office in Shanghai later this year. As part of our long-term strategy, we have recently decided to adjust our sales and distribution channels in China, in order to be more directly involved in marketing, sales and technical support.

This autumn, a team of scientists is going to measure the emotions, brain activity and subjective feelings of a writer (Arnon Grunberg) as he creates a new book. The measurements will be correlated with the text he writes. When he writes about anger, does he feel the emotion himself? What factors influence the creative flow?

Noldus celebrates 2000 EthoVision sites worldwide. The milestone was reached when Dr. Ilia Karatsoreos from the Department of Integrative Physiology and Neuroscience purchased EthoVision XT 9. It was bought in combination with water mazes, T-mazes, Y-mazes, Barnes mazes, plus mazes, and open fields – for both rats and mice. Additionally, his colleagues will also be using CatWalk XT.
